What is a Starlight Fun Center™?
Starlight's Fun Centers (www.starlight.org/funcenter) are mobile entertainment units equipped with a Nintendo Wii™, a Sharp AQUOS™ LCD television, and a DVD player. Fun Centers – designed to alleviate the stress, loneliness and isolation that accompany a child's hospital stay – are on wheels and can be enjoyed at a child's bedside or anywhere in the hospital setting.
How many hospitals will receive a Starlight Fun Center™?
In addition to awarding one Starlight Fun Center™ to each of the 20 participating hospitals, Colgate will be donating one Starlight Fun Center™ every day throughout the month of February. The participating hospital to receive the most online votes by 12:00AM EST, each day will be awarded a Starlight Fun Center™. Each participating hospital is eligible to receive a maximum of three Starlight Fun Centers™. A total of 48 Starlight Fun Centers™ will be awarded through this year's “Show the Love” online challenge.
What happens when a hospital wins the maximum number of units before the end of the voting period?
Hospitals that achieve the maximum of three Starlight Fun Centers™ during the voting period will still appear on the voting page. Their links will be disabled and the hospital names will transition to gray font. If a user chooses to vote for a hospital that has already reached the maximum, a notification will appear on the voting page and users will be encouraged to vote for another, eligible hospital.
How many times can I vote?
Each user may vote once every 24 hours.
Can anyone vote?
Yes. Participation is open to all users.
How often are the voting results updated?
The voting results are updated daily.
When does voting end?
Voting ends 12:00 AM (EST) on Sunday, February 28, 2010.
How much does a Starlight Fun Center™ cost?
Starlight Fun Center™ sponsorship is currently $4,250 (*plus applicable taxes), which includes the cost of the unit, shipping and administration, and repair and maintenance for the life of the Fun Center by dedicated Starlight staff.
Can I personally donate a Starlight Fun Center™?

How were this year's participating hospitals chosen?
A geographically diverse group of hospitals that serve urban populations were selected from Starlight Children's Foundation's waiting list for Fun Centers.
How can my hospital receive a Starlight Fun Center™ and/or be considered for next year's ‘Show the Love' program?
Hospitals must sign Starlight Children's Foundation's universal waiver and be placed on their waiting list for Fun Centers. The form can be found on Starlight's website here.
