Mothers nourish their children with love and proper nutrition. Yet over 12 million children in America are at risk of experiencing hunger. That’s 1 in 6 children at risk! In response, Colgate-Palmolive is partnering with Share Our Strength®, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to help ending childhood hunger in America.
Colgate-Palmolive is proud to support Share Our Strength®’s mission to increase and facilitate kid’s access to nutritious food to help end childhood hunger. Colgate-Palmolive is donating funding to support Share Our Strength®’s nationwide Ending Childhood Hunger initiatives which will benefit various cities nationwide. This Mother’s Day, we invite you to share mom’s love and to help more with just a click of your mouse.
Register here to vote among the selected cities to receive dedicated funding for summer feeding programs. Many at-risk children receive access to food through federal feeding programs, however, the need for food increases during the summer months. About 80% of the low-income children who receive school lunches do not receive school meals in the summer season. With your vote, the top 3 cities to receive the most online votes by 12 PM (EST), on May 10, 2009 will be awarded dedicated funding for summer feeding programs.
After placing your votes, you can also enter for a chance to win a get-away trip, plus the celebration dinner for two - hosted by a spokesperson for Palmolive dish liquid, B. Smith or Charytin. For full prizes details please see our Official Rules.
Share Our Strength® is the leading national organization working to end childhood hunger in America. They weave together a net of community groups, activities and food programs to catch every at risk child to make sure that no kid in America grows up hungry.
