Global Human Resources Summer Internship Program
At Colgate-Palmolive and Hill’s Pet Nutrition, we
offer an exceptional Global Human Resources
Summer Internship designed for those who have a
strong interest in pursuing a career in global human
resources management, allowing you to test your
abilities and further explore your career interests.
Not only does a summer internship provide you
with a firsthand look and experience inside our
organization, it also gives us an opportunity to get
to know you. Successful interns demonstrate strong
team building and communication skills, as well as
the ability to plan and prioritize.
As a summer intern you will be placed in a
functional HR team. Working with a Human
Resources manager, you will be an active member
in managing one or more projects in such groups
as Compensation, Employee Relations, Global
People Development, Education & Training, or
with HR generalists in Sales, Marketing, Research
& Development or an International Division. In
addition, throughout the summer you will be exposed
to our organization through formal orientations and
informal meetings with HR senior management and
business leaders.
Internship Requirements:
- Completion of first year of a graduate program in
Human Resources management, Organizational
Psychology or Industrial Labor Relations.
- Prior experience in human resources is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and
analytical skills.
- Interest in a global career (previous experience
abroad is a plus).

Human Resources Associate’s Program
Your experience as an intern may also provide you
the opportunity to join us on a permanent basis and
participate in the full-time Global Human Resources
Professional Development Program, leading to a
position in Human Resources within a truly global
consumer products company.
The full-time Global Human Resources Professional
Development Program will give you the opportunity
to enhance your human resources knowledge and
expertise in functional rotations throughout Colgate
or Hill’s within one of the most prestigious and highly
competitive management training programs in global
human resources. Our rotationally based “learn by
doing” program provides participants with unique
opportunities and experiences. Associates will
typically go through four rotations over a 12
-month period. Core rotations include assignments in
Compensation, HR Information Center, Supply Chain,
Sales and an international Division. Rotations may be
in Corporate, Division and/or operating unit levels,
both domestic and international. By the end of the
program, participants will have had broad exposure
to our business and the HR function, and will be
prepared to take on positions of responsibility.
