Global Supply Chain Internship Program
At Colgate-Palmolive and Hill's Pet Nutrition, we offer
an exceptional Global Supply Chain Summer Internship
designed for those who have a strong interest in
pursuing a career in one of the following areas:
Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Global
Supply Chain Management. These internships will
allow you to test your abilities and further explore your
career interests. Not only does a summer internship
provide you with a first-hand look and experience
inside our organization, it also gives us an opportunity
to get to know you. Successful interns demonstrate
strong team building and communication skills, as well
as the ability to plan and prioritize.
As a summer intern you will be placed in a functional
area of the Supply Chain depending upon your interest
and area of study. You will be an active member
in managing one or more projects in such diverse
groups as Manufacturing, Technical Engineering,
Global Procurement or Customer Service and Logistics.
You will work along side a Supply Chain mentor to
guide you through the summer internship process. In
addition, throughout the summer you will be exposed
to our organization through formal orientations
and informal meetings with Supply Chain Senior
Management and business leaders.
Internship requirements:
Current students within 1-2 years of their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completion in the following disciplines:
Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering,Electrical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management/Logistics.
- 3.0 or higher GPA
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Project management and quantitative skills
- Interest in a global career
- Foreign language proficiency preferable
- Authorization to work in the United States for any employer

Global Supply Chain Associates Rotation Program
The Global Supply Chain internship provides an opportunity for those candidates that successfully complete a summer internship to be considered for the Global Supply Chain Rotational Associates program which provides exposure to 4 areas of Supply Chain (Procurement, Customer Service & Logistics, Manufacturing, and Engineering) over a period of 2 years in locations across the US.

Chain Management, or Procurement expertise to our Global Supply Chain organization.
Within our Manufacturing & Engineering functions, we offer
opportunities in both our Technical Engineering departments
as well as Manufacturing Operations throughout the US.
If you choose to join our Technical Engineering Departments,
located in Piscataway, NJ and Topeka, KS you will be
working amongst a global team of engineers focused on
one of four key product categories: Oral Care, Personal
Care, Home Care or Pet Care. As a member of this team
you will work with scientists, engineers, and vendors on
equipment design, process development, technology transfer,
and operations improvements supporting our products and manufacturing facilities around the world.
If you choose to join our Manufacturing Operations, you
will be part of a team responsible for producing and
packaging a portfolio of Colgate/Hill’s products in various
manufacturing locations across the US. As part of this
function you could be involved in equipment installation,
production line design and layout, process optimization,
plant troubleshooting and/or direct supervision of plant
personnel responsible for operations.
Customer Service and Logistics (CS&L) at Colgate Palmolive /
Hill’s Pet Nutrition encompasses functional responsibilities for
demand and supply planning, order fulfillment, distribution
operations including transportation and warehousing
management, and logistics analysis. Customer Service
and Logistics provides key supply chain interfaces to the
commercial organization and our customers. The focus of
the CS&L organization is on improving “end to end supply
chain” capabilities that deliver superior service levels while
maximizing efficiencies for Colgate / Hill’s and our customers.
Opportunities in CS&L exist in US based as well as global
organizations. These opportunities include support
functions in Colgate’s Atlanta and New York offices as well
as the Hills Pet Nutrition office in Topeka, Kansas. As a
member of one of the CS&L organizations you could be
responsible for network modeling and cost analysis, demand
planning, supply network planning, inventory management,
transportation planning, warehouse operations, customer
supply chain interfaces and service initiatives.
Global Procurement (GP) at Colgate-Palmolive manages
the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services for our
business units, including direct materials which are used in
the production of Colgate’s products and indirect goods and
services which are purchased to meet a variety of needs
in running our business operations. Global procurement
is responsible for ensuring that the goods and services
purchased at Colgate meet our needs for competitive
pricing, excellent service and our high quality standards.
The team works closely with a wide variety of internal
business partners to assess their needs, identify how those
requirements for goods or services can be met, and ensure
that they are met in a competitive manner to bring Colgate
the highest value.
Opportunities in Global Procurement exist in both US-based
and global organizations. In the direct material procurement
team, our resources focus on sourcing production materials
for one of the four product categories described above,
working closely with manufacturing, supply chain and
technology resources. In the indirect goods and services
procurement team, our people work very closely with
business partners in marketing, finance, sales, engineering,
IT, human resources and other disciplines to ensure they
are optimizing the value of their purchases, in the process
developing a broad business perspective.
Full-Time Hire Requirements:
Graduating Bachelor or Masters students pursuing degrees in the following disciplines:
Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management/Logistics.
