Posted by: iluvtkj I keep a small egg timer on the bathroom sink that my kids can set for 2 min. each time they brush. They love to hear it ding when they are done. Also, we say they have "sugar bugs" on their teeth that they try to get out. They like trying to get all of them. Now that he is old enough to somewhat brush himself, we sing it while he brushes and then sing it one more time while we brush his teeth for him. Not only is it a good indicator of when he's brushed long enough, but he also now knows his ABCs after hearing twice every night! She loves to see the sand go down and know that she is almost done when the sand gets closer to the other end. We have passed this along to other friends and nieghbors and their children love to use the method as well. It is a good "tool" for the children to use, fun and easy as well.
