Bid Whist Bites

 

 

Spiced Mixed Nuts

Ingredients

 

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 cups cashews
2 cups pecan halves
2 cups peanuts
2 cups walnut halves





 

 

Preparation

 

Preheat the oven to 350 F. degrees. In a large skillet, melt the butter. Add the salt, chili powder, cayenne, and cumin. Add the nuts and toss to coat. Spread the nuts out on a baking sheet and bake until lightly browned, about 10 minutes.

 

SMART TIP: Spiced nuts can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container or kept in the freezer.
