Frequent Asked Questions

  • Are there special instructions for cleaning and maintenance of the brush?

If you're a powered toothbrush user, nothing special versus what you normally do to clean your brush!

    Here are our detailed instructions:

    • Clean your toothbrush head thoroughly after each use by removing the brush head from the handle and rinsing under running water.

    • Regularly clean the handle of the toothbrush using a damp cloth. This is especially important if your toothpaste contains baking soda or other bicarbonates or peroxide. Otherwise, plastic cracking could occur.

    • If you plan to stop using the toothbrush for an extended period, we recommend that you clean the toothbrush handle and heads, and store them in a cool dark place. If you start using your toothbrush again after a long period of non-use, charge for at least 4 hours.

    • For energy savings purposes, charge only when the battery level is low. When not in use, keep the charger unplugged from the socket.

  • How is intensity control different than changing the mode?

The up and down arrows on the front of the brush control the intensity of the vibrations, going from level 1 (gentlest) to level 10 (strongest).

The Intensity Wave on the back of the handle lights up in correspondence with the intensity level!

If you are on on intensity level 1, for example, only the bottom tip of the intensity wave will be lit.

If you are on intensity level 10, the whole wave will be lit.

The 4 modes, on the other hand, combine different patterns of speeds and rotations so you can customize your clean.

Pick the mode you want by pressing the power button consecutively within 5 seconds of turning it on.

Every time you press it will switch the modes: Squeaky Clean -> Sparkle -> Sensitive -> Self-Care.

The icon for the mode you choose will light up.

  • Will the brush tell me if I'm brushing too hard?

The Intensity Wave on the back of the brush handle turns red when you use too much pressure.

Simply ease up pressure and the red light will become white again.

  • Are there different brushing modes?

There are 4 brush modes to fit your brushing needs:

    • Squeaky Clean - High intensity + speed for daily clean

    • Sparkle - High intensity vibrations + pulsing action for a dazzling clean

    • Sensitive - Lower intensity vibrations for a gentle clean

    • Self-Care - Indulgent rotation of all three modes for a unique cleaning sensation

  • What is included with the brush?

1 Toothbrush Handle (pearlized white with gold accents)

2 Brush Heads (soft pink/white bristles)

    1 Travel Clutch (pink/blue)

    1 Charger

  • How do I turn the brush off?

Hold the power button down to turn it off.

The timed brushing feature makes it so that the CO. Worker automatically turns off after 2 minutes of brushing.

FYI: The brush lights up when you lift it up!

  • The toothbrush won't turn on, what should I do?

If your brush does not turn on, follow the instructions to charge the brush using the USB cord provided and attempt to turn on again after it has charged.

Just a quick reminder - when first charging your CO. WORKER or after a period of inactivity, it may take several minutes for the little "smile" light to start pulsing.

  • Where can I find replaceable heads/refill heads?

We recommend swapping out a new brush head every 3 months.

There are two refills included in your kit, so you should be set for the next 6 months!

2-Pack refills will be available starting Fall 2021 through co.colgate.com.

  • How long does the toothbrush charge last?

The CO. Worker has a 15 day battery life.

When the “smile” flashes red, that is how you know your CO. Worker is hungry for power.

Charge it up! It will take your CO. Worker at most 4 hours to fully charge.

  • How do I change the brush head?

Swapping in a fresh brush head is easy!

    • Remove plastic cap from the top of the handle.

    • Line up the toothbrush head with the front side of the toothbrush handle. The bristles and the power button should be on the same side.

    • Press the toothbrush head down onto the metal shaft until it no longer moves when being pressed.

  • How do I charge the brush?

To charge your CO. Worker, turn the brush upside down and look for the cute little arrow on the base.

Where the arrow points is where you should use your nail or common-sense-tool to pop it open, revealing the charging port.

Then just plug in the charging cable. The little “smile” under the CO. lights up and pulses while it’s charging.

FYI: When your brush is fully charged the “smile” stays solid white. When the “smile” flashes red that means your CO. Worker is hungry for power. Charge it up!
