At our state-of-the-art research and development facility in New Jersey, our team of 900 experts conducts over 200 clinical trials and files around 100 patents each year. Using science to innovate lets us understand the true health benefits of our products and helps us to develop new products to address emerging conditions. Our oral health clinical investigations have studied the benefit of products designed to improve teeth whiteness, gingival health, tooth sensitivity, and plaque removal. The studies also help us to understand the biological processes that lead to oral disease so that we can create better therapies to prevent and treat them. As a result, we can develop groundbreaking products using advanced scientific technologies which deliver remarkable results.

Driven by innovation, we partnered with the International Space Station (ISS), under the sponsorship of the ISS U.S. National Laboratory to conduct the first-ever oral care experiment in space. As we are constantly looking for new ways to create more effective therapies, we developed an experiment to study how plaque grows in microgravity.

The results of testing in space could benefit more than half of the world’s population in the next five to ten years. This is the first of several research projects that we have planned in partnership with the ISS National Lab. Recently, we signed a Space Act Agreement with NASA to continue to explore solutions to the health and sustainability challenges we have here on Earth.
