Dr. Yun-Po Zhang is a Distinguished Fellow (VP Rank) at Colgate-Palmolive. He has assumed primary responsibility over the clinical dental research programs in support of global oral health business. He has been appointed as an adviser of the Entrepreneurial Sounding Board Program at Columbia University Business School and an adjunct professor at the Forsyth Institute that is affiliated with Harvard University. Dr. Zhang holds three US patents in dental caries prevention, has contributed to the publication of three books, and has authored over 180 publications in international scientific journals. He has been invited to speak at many international scientific meetings and has served as a keynote speaker at events. He has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Dental Research, the AADR Fellowship Committee, and the IADR Awards Review Committee. He is currently an AADA Counselor and is serving on the joined AADR/IADR Publication Board. Dr. Zhang has received numerous awards throughout his career. He was named an ADA Honorary Member, was honored an AADR Fellow, and was a recipient of the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award from the Asian American Business Development Center in New York. Dr. Zhang holds a PhD in physical chemistry from Northeastern University, and completed post-doctoral training and held faculty positions in oral biology at Forsyth/ Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He also holds an executive MBA from the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania, a DDS with honors by Dalian Medical University in China. In addition, he holds a certificate of Authentic Leadership Program from Harvard Business School.
