This toothpaste is a bit of a novelty! At first it feels quite strange putting black toothpaste on your toothbrush, but I got used to it pretty quickly. It foams up nicely and looks more white/grey in the mouth. I did find that the grey paste left residue on my sink which was more obvious than usual. The main thing I didn't like was that it left a slight aftertaste in the mouth that wasn't fresh and minty. It's not a horrible taste, but I'd prefer to feel my mouth completely clean. I will happily use up the rest of this, as it is a good quality toothpaste, but I wouldn't buy it over Colgate's other whitening options which I prefer.

I’ve tried a few charcoal toothpastes and they have been slightly effective but I have hated the taste and texture. However this toothpaste ticks all boxes. It has a mild mint flavour masking the chalky taste you usually get. It foams up nicely so I feel my teeth are getting a really good clean. I noticed my teeth looked brighter and shinier from the first use and I can say after a week now that they have definitely started to lighten. Being a recent ex smoker I couldn’t of found this product at a better time. I hope the progress I’ve seen continues. Amazing product from a trusted brand. My new favourite toothpaste for sure.

I actually thought this toothpaste would have a funny taste due to the flavour being charcoal. To my surprise, it tasted like an average toothpaste, which is great. I would say it definitely helps keep a white smile and maintaining a good overall health in your mouth, but I haven’t used it long enough to see long-term results. So far it’s keeping my teeth clean and maintaining the whiteness in my teeth, so hopefully in the long run I can see my teeth getting somewhat whiter. I’d still recommend it as a good toothpaste to anyone wanting to try something that can potentially improve the look of their small overtime.

I used Colgate Max White Charcoal twice a day for two weeks and it did a good job at freshening my mouth and lifting day-to-day surface stains, especially from tea/coffee. The paste has a smooth feel, doesn’t taste overly medicinal, and it left my teeth feeling clean and polished after brushing. I didn’t find it harsh, and it didn’t cause any noticeable irritation, which I’m always cautious about with whitening products. The whitening effect is subtle but visible with consistent use — it won’t transform your teeth overnight, but it’s a solid everyday toothpaste if you want gentle, ongoing stain removal.

I think it needs to have a stronger flavour, more mint. I don't think that it really did much in terms of making my breath fresh. I appreciate it is a whitening toothpaste, so this might be the reason why. It could have foamed up a little bit more also for my liking. Now did it make my teeth any whiter, not really. Not that I noticed. It has lovely packaging. I really liked the red colour and the toothpaste has a good texture and applies well to the brush and doesn't fall off. I just think I might have used better whitening toothpaste. I might pick it up again if it is on offer.

I really like the dentist clean feeling I get with this toothpaste. My teeth genuinely feel smooth and clean after use and I feel thay they stay fresh feeling for a long time after. I also like that it is charcoal activated and so I feel that helps with the smooth feeling afterwards. The toothpaste did whiten my teeth a but they it was less than I was hoping, however I would still use this product and feel that with more time my teeth will continue to whiten. Nether the less I would still buy this again for the fresh and clean feeling I get, with some added whitening benefits too!

It’s a great toothpaste, I was worried about the colour however once you brush your teeth it goes almost white. The taste is very mild it doesn’t burn at all which I like. However it won’t whiten your teeth dramatically, I think there isn’t a toothpaste that could actually do much whitening anyway. I like the packaging, very easy to use, it has a lid that you don’t have to remove just click which is so comfortable. Overall I like it, it makes my teeth feel super clean however I think it’s like any other Colgate toothpaste affordable and makes my teeth feel clean.
